    This was posted on Twitter…  It’s from the UK Sunday Times (can’t see a link to it).

    Fuck yeah, we rule the world! You tell that journalist, Gaiman! o/

    Here’s the newest comic, in which yet another version of Max makes an appearance..!

    OMG, it’s so cute I cannot resist. Either. ;;__;;

    Also reblogging this so my followers know of Jesse and his cool webcomic. It’s one of my feeds. ^^

  6. One does not simply…

    Some months ago A year ago a friend of mine got a Yubikey. Not giving it any use, he agreed to give it to me if I helped him tag his blog posts.

    Last night I started doing it. 6 hours and hundreds of posts later I gave up. Not only the editing system in Posterous (yeah, he uses that) is buggy, it also doesn’t allow for multiple posts editing even if just for tags.

    Wait, that’s not just it! Every time I finished with a page of posts I had to keep pressing the “show more” button. It got to a point that, to reach his 2011’s posts my fingers ached with so much scrolling. Posterous, Y U NO use a “next page” system, or a view/edit by month? Something else than forcing the user to end up with a huge ass page, please! Ugh.

    Anyway, after giving up and telling my friend what posts I edited and tagged he told me he was going to go back to some and add even more tags. This leads me to my learned lesson and conclusion of this post: one does not simply outsource tagging blog posts. Tags are something personal.

    P.S.: If I see another food post I swear I’m gonna scream! D:

  7. Yeah… When I die, I’ll need something a bit more thorough than that. I’ll need a wipe on all my gmail, twitter, etc. accounts! xD

  8. There is just one twitter desktop app that I like to use and it’s called MetroTwit (the Win7 version, not the 8). Unfortunately it doesn’t work in Linux (but for that OS there’s Turpial - not perfect, but a neat app), but hey - nothing is perfect, right?

    Besides being light and sleek, MetroTwit lets me customize the hell of it. Among other features, I can have as many “tabs” as I want (though since my screen is small and I don’t like to scroll to the sides I only use  4), that can be anything, from Mentions, DMs, Timeline, to lists, search results, hashtags, an account, etc… On top of it all we’ve got these geeky details like the ones I’ve printscreened. These messages appear while MetroTwit is fetching results. They’re so funny (and there’s more than those, two, btw) I giggle every time, like a kid.

    Note: I am NOT affiliated with MetroTwit or any of its partners in any way. And no one has paid me anything to make this post. I wrote it because I spent days trying pretty much every desktop twitter app I could find and this is the only one that suited me. Since it made and makes me so happy I decided to share the info with you here. If you’re unhappy with the one you’re currently using, give this one a try. Let me know how it went for ya afterwards, mkay? ^-^

  9. Ceci n’est pas une étoile.

    Props to @marcogmonteiro for noticing it should be étoile and not lune - I was so distracted with the awesomeness of this idea that I didn’t notice. xD

  10. Lying at the intersection of social science, computer science, and engineering, the Program on Liberation Technology seeks to understand how information technology can be used to defend human rights, improve governance, empower the poor, promote economic development, and pursue a variety of other social goods.

    Really cool stuff. Check out the podcasts under the Seminar Series tab, too.
